Searching PubMed Online
This training session will introduce the PubMed database. An overview of searching by keyword and subject term, search techniques and saving results will be provided.

Develop familiarity with accessing PubMed

Understand the differences between PubMed and Medline

Conduct a literature search in PubMed using MeSH subject terms, keywords and limiters.

Learn about useful search techniques such as truncation and phrase searching

Learn how to create an account on PubMed to save results and searches

Learn how to email and/or export results.

The session will be include PowerPoint, live demonstration and practical exercises covering all the learning outcomes above.
Additional information
The training will be taught in a one-hour session. It will be delivered online by two librarians and include hands-on exercises.
Pre-course materials and requirements will be emailed to registered participants before the training. A feedback survey will be sent after the training.
