Context

This training session will focus on how to search the CINAHL database.  We will demonstrate the use of keywords and subject terms for searching, a variety of search techniques and how to manage search results. 

Why you should attend 

1. Develop familiarity with CINAHL on the Ebsco platform

2. Learn how to conduct a literature search in CINAHL using keywords, subject terms and search techniques, including truncation and proximity operators and how to refine your search results

3. Learn how to use folders to save results and search strategies and how to manage your search results.

Who should attend 

HSE staff and authorised users of the HSE Library Service who want to know how to search CINAHL for an academic course, research or patient care.

Course requirements

Access to a PC/laptop, headphone and a reliable Internet connection. A mobile phone or tablet is not advised for this training.
